The Institute for the Study of Catholic Faith and Life
works is collaboration with a
local bishop to present adult catechetical programs for personal enrichment in the
Catholic faith.

Its goal is to understand the Catholic mind and heart better, and to enable the participants
to live the Catholic way of life more fully.

The Rationale of the Institute

  1. The need to combat the secularist environment within which the Catholic has to live today.
This environment can weaken the faith and lead to confusion as to what it means to be a Catholic.

  2. The need for lay people to be at the forefront of the evangelization of our world. This
evangelization is a matter of transforming our society through word and action so that it embodies
more fully the values of the Kingdom of God.

  3. The need for a reflective understanding of the Catholic faith in order to develop a deep
    conviction
as to its importance for the growth and development of human beings.

  4. The need to develop a methodology that forms the participants in the essential content of the
Catholic faith, a methodology that reflects the Trinitarian life of God and enables it to be actually
    experienced.
